  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Ted's been admitted to vets this morning 10 Feb - We've had a little buzz

Thank you everybody, we really do appreciate it. He snuck into the living room and we just had a bit of a panic that we'd lost him somewhere but he's behind the settee. I took the opportunity to have a look in his litter tray and he's done quite a decent pile of poos, bit mishappen but not too bad. Just really hoping he starts eating soon, he's not good at all with syringe feeding.

Edited - he's just started munching on a bit of hay :D

Thank you. I think we'll really know he's better when he's buzzing again. He's just being quiet behind the settee at the moment, but there is a litter tray there as well and he keeps getting in though he's not eating every time. At least he's moving around and he is doing some poos.

Glad to hear he's home. Hopefully the buzzing bumba bee will begin flitting about soon. :D More healing vibes on the way. xxxxxxx

Ted's eating some bits of his breakfast this morning but he's very quiet for him. This is normal for him in recovery though.

Well Ted wasn't at all impressed yesterday afternoon by his bum bath but this morning he did a little bit of buzzing so he must be feeling better now 😁
