My dear Delilah, who mothered seven surprise babies shortly after arrival, battled RHD2 and won, then battled myxomatosis and won, sadly fell into her forever sleep on 5 Jan We still don't really know what happened, but after a week of intermittent stasis, she was admitted for surgery on a suspected liver lobe torsion. When the vet opened her up, he found that her intestines had ruptured some time previously as there were adhesions present. There was nothing could be done to repair it, so sadly we had to let her go while she was still under the GA. Her x-rays and surgical photos have been sent on to a specialist to see if they can understand why this happened and at what point in her short illness. To lose her is devastating beyond belief. A little statue of a dutch bunny is peering out at me across the room as a memorial to her companionship and spark. Sleep tight my beautiful girl, I will never forget you xxx
