  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

How much roughly should I expect for incisor removal in Berkshire? Petplan won't cover it so trying to see how much I'll need.

Have you done a pre-authorisation claim to Petplan to check if they'll cover?

Best thing you can do is get quotes from rabbit savvy vets in your area. Prices vary a considerable about from vet to vet.

I'm going to get one Tuesday but I know they are quite expensive. Its was 100 to put my rabbit to sleep (although he passed on his own in the end) their prices have really gone up. I'm in Bracknell

ah okay, well I suppose it depends on the vet. Are you quite confident and happy with your vet?

Unfoerunatly I don't use any local vets as I don't really trust them, so I use a vets in Swindon! But think they'll be too far from you sorry!

We are in West Berkshire and use Anton Vets in Andover. So far our buns have been lucky enough not to have required a dental operation

It's a big operation. I should ring around vets to get a price, but also make sure that the vet you call is confident doing that surgery x
