  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Boo has a pre planned "dental" tomorrow

I hate putting her through GA when she seems so well but there again she did last time & had a whopping big ulcer. Hopefully this will give us a better gauge on what timescales we can expect between dentals & will also allow an update on her existing crowns, check they are not loose etc. Getting increasingly nervous as the day approaches. Please think of her & send well wishes for tomorrow

I know all to well the pre dental nerves, I'm sure your girlie will come through just fine, and feel better for it. Sending you lots of calming vibes, and vibes for beautiful Boo too xxx

I hope your vet gets some useful information from examining Boo's mouth under GA tomorrow. I also hope that all goes well and that she's soon able to return home with you.

I'll be thinking of the beautiful Boo.

Thank You all - you're very kind . I've passed on your love & support to my little lady (who is acting as though she doesn't have a care in the world)

Sending millions of vibes for the beautiful Princess Boo. She looks stunning in her picture.

Lots of calming vibes for you... it's best she has the GA while she still appears well and is eating etc x

Thank You DP & Scrappy. I guess the best outcome is we're premature as that will mean her tooth is growing slower than it might.
