  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I know how you feel!

Wishing both the boys good luck with their wheels removal, and vibes for you to get through the day x

Sending loads of vibes for your gorgeous boys tomorrow. I hope all goes well and that they are soon home with you.

Bad news - we only have Cuthbert home, Dillon has developed swelling and they are getting the vet back to see him. We had to sign for more surgery.

I'm sorry to see this latest update :( Sending loads of hugs for you and vibes for little Dillon.

Cuthbert would not eat at the vets but he is home and eating broccoli and hay - not pellets but so long as he is eating I am happy.

Still no news about Dillon

Vets have rung, he has a bleed from "somewhere" at the moment they are not re-operating but might later tonight, they have him sat on an ice pack and to be reviewed in the morning when the specialist vet, Paul, comes back on duty. They have sent a photograph to Paul. I really dont know what to think! They said if there are any changes they will ring me.
