  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Spurs or something else?

aye, its a good feeling. Omi I have sacked off the metacam. She is even more springy (& a lovable pain in the bum) than usual

Good :thumb: Fenugreek seems to be a flavour that most of them find hard to resist. What did you decide about the Metacam?

Except my bunnies

They wouldn't touched baked treats with fenugreek .. OH said it's because they don't like curries?

Well done with the Baytril JB :thumb:

Interesting :) The fact that all of them won't touch it also supports my observation that, whilst it's possible for individual rabbits to have favourite foods, if one won't touch something, none of them will.

I'll have to have another try with certain plants now that Tethra is on his own. I'm thinking particularly of Buddleia.

However, in the case of freshly juiced greens, two rabbits will rush to drink out of a bowl (great for giving meds!) whereas the third won't. I think getting over their innate suspicion is something that takes time perhaps?

I tend to feed the stuff they don't like so much (buddleia) later in the year (now) because they're desperate for anything green and fresh.

Good news about Boo too :D I find soaking baytril into a shop-bought fenugreek crunchie works so glad to hear it does with the homemade ones too! Did you have to give everybun else one as well?
