Pets At Home Timothy hay Vinagar Smell [Help]

reede2

Young Bun
Hello, i got a bag of Timothy hay from pets at home and when I opened it it had a vinegar smell to it is it still ok to give to my rabbits?

Thanks for anyone who replys

I wouldn't feed it- I'd take it back for a refund or exchange for another type.

No but it could be contaminated with chemical, could have fermented etc but rabbits are so fragile it's not worth the risk.

Could be that the plastic wrapper sat in vinegar, whilst cleaning the shelves or storage area. It may have tainted the hay. I would take it back and change it x

Take it back they should change it no problem. I've had the same a few months back from PAH and they replaced it no problem
