Rabbit allergic to hay

Norah's eye is so much better. I have oat hay getting delivered today to try.. I am using the redigrass and I grabbed a bag of cheap meadow hay from the local pet shop while I wait for the oat hay to arrive and I have to say I was very surprised how much they both enjoy it. so I don't know if her eye is better because I have changed the hay or because the drops are working.. More likely the drops. I have ordered samples of hay to sniff each one to see which I can tolerate better [emoji1]. I am fine with meadow , so if the oat doesn't go down too well then meadow it is.

Glad to hear about Norah's eye :)

I hope you enjoy your green oat hay :) ... oops I meant the buns!

I'm glad you've planned a way forward. Awful to suffer allergic symptoms (for you) so it has to be sorted xx

Meadow Hay can include different grasses and a wide array of other plants so its possible it may of been a specific plant in that batch that she reacted to rather than the grass itself.

The other possibility is the dust off the hay.

That said given it was one eye I'm inclined to agree that infection sounds more likely.

I'm glad she is feeling better. I'm sure she will love the oat hay.
