Nine lives in Redbourn. I'd also recommend that you look on the RWAF website at the list of approved vets though
Bunny mum to rescue rabbits Cinna, Katniss, Prim, Haymitch, Rose, Shadow, Claudia, Ollie, Blue and Willow
Binky free at the bridge Desbun & Nemo. Miss you both so much

Thank you. I think i looked on the rwaf website but nothing came up for Hertfordshire. My rabbit needs spaying soon and i want to make sure she's in the best hands. Just out of interest, is anyone with 2 vets, i'm wondering if i should stick with the one 5 mins from me for things like nail clipping but travel further to a decent vet for more important things. The vet my rabbits with at the moment has 2 vets that operate but only 1 that seems more interested in rabbits. 1 of them gave my rabbit mite treatment which she had a huge reaction to and my rabbit choked which she said she had never heard of so im hesitant now having her spayed there. Ive been told a nurse has gone on the latest rabbit courses so know the latest info but im not sure thats enough. I just want her spayed and feel she will be in good hands. The vets had very good reviews which is why i originally chose them.

Im in welwyn garden city. Watford isnt far but always takes so long to get there. Redbourn isn't too far either, I'm going to drive there next week and see how long it takes, it says less than half an hour but I'll see. Good to know there's a good vet in watford too incase i did need to use it.

Specialist "exotic" vets or not, the staff at Medivet Watford have saved a number of my rabbits lives on several occasions over the years. They are open and have at least one vet in attendance 24/7, as well as nurses, so you never have to worry about turning up at 2am with a bun in stasis - they will admit the bun there and then if necessary, give fluids and meds, and syringe feed through the night. Also, being part of the Medivet group, they have access to a wide range of state of the art equipment which you would not ordinarily have at a small local vet, for example one of mine was taken for CT scans when a jaw abscess recurred. And being open 24/7 they really don't care if you phone at 11pm, or 5am, to check how bun is

    Hi there Wendy-Jane

I would agree with you - Medivet Watford have also saved my rabbits' lives too.

As you say, as well as being open 24/7, they do have the equipment and expertise. CT scanning is one of those. I was actually referred there on one occasion by my vet, who is lovely, but we needed the facilities that she didn't have available
