  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Dental today

Hi all,

Bluebell has had a dental today after the vet noticed she has a couple of spurs pointing into her tongue.

Thankfully, she's come through the anesthetic fine and is now recovering, so we can pick her up at 5.30pm. Everything sounds positive and she only needed some filing, so shouldn't be in too much pain.

Very relieved x

Bless her, glad all went well :D

Thank you.

As expected she was a bit subdued when we brought her home. I made the playhouse all cosy, but she ran straight out and hid in the run. Both her sisters were sat there, looking a bit bemused as she rushed past. Later on she was back with them and seems her normal self now :) x

What a relief xx

Thanks everyone.

I'm glad she seems back to normal. :thumb: Did Bing and Bonny join her at the vets?

No, I thought about it, but I didnt think they would want all three and to take two would leave one home alone anyway.

She's seems fine and was munching away happily this evening x
