  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Strange GI Stasis

Perhaps not missing her, but stressed maybe?

Also, is she vaccinated, and is Brandi vaccinated?

Weirder and weirder :)

Brandi is vaccinated against both strains of VHD and myxi.
I've no idea if she was vaccinated as her owners are away, we gave her back to their cleaner

ANOTHER THING!

I walked into the garden Friday and found him sitting against the bars of his run, with another rabbit beside him on the other side of the bars!

It was our neighbors rabbit, she'd dug under the fence, apparently she did it quite frequently and they just called her back for dinner, could it be possible he's missing her if she was coming over daily?

That certainly could be playing a part in the situation. As could the presence of a predator, eg a Cat or a Fox. It sounds as though the neighbours need to either organise a secure large run for their Doe or make sure that she is always supervised when free ranging in the garden.

How is your Bunny doing this morning xx

What meds are you injecting? How's he feeling now?

Gut motility drugs, I've done livestock vaccines a few times so I am ok giving injections

He spent the night in the conservatory and wasn't bothered at all by the thunder and lightning!
He's had a nibble on a few things this morning but still not really better

Especially as we've got dogs who I can't promise won't chase or injure her, I don't even trust them near Brandi although he loves the dogs!

Vibes that he improves - let me know :)

His eating has slowed down again so I've forced some critical care into him but if it doesn't pick up soon then we will be going back to the vets

Oh no, so sorry!

I hope you manage to get something sorted by the weekend (emergency services and all that)
