  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Weird breathing?

How's Theo doing?

Did you get my PM?

Thinking of you xx

Hi I did get your PM thank you so much.

Theo's doing okay actually, considering the circumstances.
Hes okay, not as dirty recently as he has been but still pooing alot and its watery and just really not good. He is eating but hes honestly just skin and bones. Hes also got discharge round his nose now.
Im still not sure whether to put him down or let him die, because i know he will eventually. It's just really confusing because he is okay one day then bad the next.

Thanks so much for all your support it really means alot xxxx

I'm sorry to hear about Theo, when Doughnut got skinny my specialist recommended alfalfa hay, a handful a day to help fatten her up and it worked.

Sending lots of vibes for you at this difficult time

You're really welcome :)

I was concerned about you and Theo, so it's good to hear from you.

You know where I am, and I will always support you.

Hugs xx

The hay experts is a good place to get a variety of hays.

Otherwise do a google search for a size that's convenient for you to order/fetch.

How's he doing? x
