Young Bun
Hi all,
As you all may know my little rabbit Rolo suffered from Myxi, we kept him inside throughout his illness and as the weather has got better, we thought it would be better putting him back in his hutch, with the run attached via tunnel so he can run around a lot more, instead of waiting for us to come home from work to be let out.
We have obviously sanitised the whole hutch, his run and his tunnel. But he seems to sit outside in the run, and we think he has sat outside all night, which is sad
I put him back in his hutch this morning with his food, thinking he would be hungry and he just raced out down the tunnel and back into his run. We have put hay outside and a small bowl of food and water - hoping slugs and other bugs don't eat his food!
Anyone got any advice on getting him to stay in his hutch for at least a few hours? Can't bear him sleeping outside every night! We do think he is a bit blind and deaf on surviving Myxi but I tried luring him into his hutch last night with a phone light (shining it on the tunnel) and tapping the tunnel so he could find his way over, but no he stayed plonked outside.
Is he scared as when he was last in it he was ill? I don't know why he won't go in!
Hope someone can help!
Thanks Zoë and Rolo xx
