    Default Leylandii - is it safe for bunnies?

    I wasn't sure if this is the right place to put this but my in laws have some cut leylandii logs and i wondered if they would be safe for my rabbits to chew on? Ta

    My instinct would tell me that any evergreen, conifer wood is not safe for rabbits. I haven't been able to confirm this on the internet though.

    I personally wouldn't.

    It's not recommended by RHS as far as toxicity is concerned

    I agree It is certainly toxic to horses, donkeys and cattle

    So I have cut some apple twigs, do I need to wash them or prep them in any way? I'm clueless 😒

    No you don't have to wash them. (Assuming not sprayed with anything?)

    They should go down very well

    Most rabbits love to nibble Apple twigs I don't wash mine first. As with all new foods, though, feed a little at first.
