Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Making noises, snorting perhaps, while grooming self?

I recently adopted a female rabbit for my male rabbit and they are in love :)

However I have been spending time with them and noticed when she is grooming herself, she makes a sort of snorting sniffing sound quite loudly? Only when she has been grooming herself for a few minutes, other than that she's pretty silent? Lol

Is this normal as my other rabbit doesn't do this?

It may be normal for her but I would keep an eye on it. Doughnut made snorting noises when eating when she started a respiratory infection. Has she always done this or could you find out from the rescue. If it's new I would get her checked out by your vet

I could contact the rescue and ask good idea! I've checked her nose and front paws throughout the day and can't see any signs of any discharge so will also kee an eye :)

Doughnut didn't have any discharge either. I probably caught it early. She just sounded like a little piglet eating!
