Default Monty, the hamster nobody wanted, 17/1/17

Monty came to us just over 6 months ago from the RSPCA. He'd been found dumped, in his cage, in an alleyway near a charity shop. It was lucky he was found at all as I'm sure most assumed the cage was an empty donation to the shop.

However, last night his abdomen was very swollen and Monty was in obvious discomfort - a scan revealed a tumour surrounded by fluid and so Monty was helped to the bridge.

He was such a friendly boy and will be sadly missed.

I'm so sorry you've lost Monty. At least he had six months of love, poor little chap.

    Thanks all.

We're very sad that he didn't have longer but also so glad that he found his way to us and at least managed to have 6 happy months. He looked in such a sad state when we got him that we didn't expect him to live for more than a few days so those 6 months really were a blessing for him.
