Hutch Flooring Help

New Kit
Hi Guys,

I need alittle advise, so my two boys hutch is outdoors and is one where the house/bed area is upstairs and they have a run at the bottom which has no flooring just grass (or whatever you place the hutch on). In this weather the grass isn't growing at all and it's just becoming very muddy and difficult to clean out the buns aren't to pleased with the mud. Can you advice me of any flooring to put put down, I've read a few forums which say to put down lino, any advise?

Thanks
Amy

I would put concrete down, or concrete paving slabs. There is a risk of something digging in or your rabbits digging out if it is on grass, unless you have buried weldmesh underneath the turf. You could put put rubber matting down on the concrete

You could put the hutch on a stand with a piece of wood making it into a 2-tier hutch. Also put paving slabs down, so you would have paving slabs, a stand or table about 18" off the ground, a piece of wood which the hutch would sit on and a cover for winter. Happy bunnies!
