The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Thinking I need to get Cinammon neutered sooner rather than later

Hi all,

Cinammon is now just over 5 months old and she is changing. She has started to wee outside her litter tray and she is pooing in and out of her hutch. It's getting hard to look after her now - initially I was thinking of getting her neutered during the Christmas school holidays as I have time off work for a week, but it's really hard to look after her and I don't Know how I will be to cope for another 3/4 weeks. I have not even enquired about getting her neutered yet as I needed to know more about the whole process. It's only after doing my research that I realised that she will need aftercare and monitoring and as I work full time I wanted to do the op when I was off work, but I'm not so sure now. Any advice? I leave the house at 7.40am and return home at 5pm, there are teenagers home from 3.30 onwards but I wasn't sure if they would manage....just in case something went wrong after the procedure.

I also don't know how to deal with the weeing outside her litter tray, I'm tempted to remove the tray and just cover the usual areas she has her accidents with litter pellets, rather than clearing the constant accidents (she likes the corners) with my vinegar spray, which is not deterring her at all.

Any advice appreciated.

I'd get her booked in for a Friday so you can collect her after work, then care & monitor her over the weekend before returning to work on Monday. If there are any issues over the weekend, she could go to your emergency out of hours vets for treatment but its not often this is needed.

I'd provide her a few more trays, in the areas she's using the most. Make sure they're as big as possible, and filled with hay so she can munch & mess.

Clean the areas with white vinegar & baking powder. Put the baking powder down, rub in & then put white vinegar on. Allow to dry then hoover off (you may need to rub with a dry sponge/cloth before hoovering to losen it.
