  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Taking Robin for his 1st check up

I have heard about it on here and asked him about it and he said that Robin has had the one that they offer

The wet eye was from going down the back of the sofa where it was a little dusty .

I noticed a pattern and had the sofa out and sorted it

When I rang around lots of different vets a few surgeries hadn't heard of it and didn't seem to want to order it in, but if you do want the RHD2 vaccine try ring around different places :)

Did you find anywhere local to us ?

I only checked the city centre/university area and most surgeries either had the vaccine or had it on order (only two didn't). If you're willing to travel then try 'The Vet' in Nottingham, they've been really good with my bunnies, they're cheap (£25 for a vaccine, £45 for a neuter) and when I first rang they had plenty of the new vaccine in stock so hopefully they still have some left :) If you do decide to use them I have a voucher £10 off for a friend so your vaccine would only be £15
