Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Recommendations of Vet North London

New Kit
Hi everyone!

I have two beautiful French lops, a boy and a girl. I got my boy neutered at 4 months and he has just turned 6 months old. My girl is a little younger, will be 5 months on 4th October and I am looking to get her spayed. Trouble is as lovely as my vet is I am not confident in her spaying my little bunny as she even says herself that rabbits are "exotic" animals and she can only do small ops. As an example when my boy was vaccinated he developed a sore on his back from the injection. I took him to her and she had no idea what it was and even when I said could it be the jag she said she honestly had no idea. Some googling and threads on here helped me work out what it was in the end!

So to cut to the chase I am looking for recommendations of good bunny vets in North London, ideally Finsbury Park area if possible. I am of course willing to travel to get to the right vet but probably no more than 20 minutes as wouldn't want the added stress when they go to the vet!

Any suggestion's or links to any pages with recommendations would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Lesley

How far are you from Camden? The no-brainier for north London would be the Beaumont Sainsbury animal hospital which is linked to the royal vet college. They are doing the new filavac vaccine which suggests they also take first opinion as well as referral although I'm not certain about that.

I'm not far at all from Camden, only about ten to fifteen mins which is perfect! Will give them a call today and update on here whether they do first opinions :)

Thanks so much for your help!

This. Jelly Bean was admitted here a few months ago when she had stasis and they were brilliant.
