Sorbus Aria (Whitebeam) Safe?

Hi All,

They have just chopped down a Whitebeam outside my house. It was pretty dead, any harm in giving logs to the rabbits to play with? Photos of a live tree for reference.

Sorry I don't know and can't find any information about it by searching on the internet. There really is a need for more informtion about which trees are safe to feed to rabbits.
