My two had their filavac this week. The vet recommended 6 month interval suggesting they were at high risk because I board them when we go away. Have to take her advice really and will get them done in December. I don't think they are making a lot of money out of it- the cost seems reasonable compared to what others are being charged and they are very thorough. It's a chance to get them (particularly Bob) checked over at the same time.

That's what I always liked about having separate Myxo and VHD1 jabs - the fact you could separate them by six months and effectively get two check ups. Then they combined them and it was a yearly check.

Now there's two vaccines, we can split them up and get two checks, or in your case, three

PS - did your vet recommend you do the Myxo/VHD1 vax twice yearly also?

Just a heads up that Myxi hasn't gone away!

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...d-weather/amp/

It's important to vaccinate rabbits against both myxi, vhd1 and vhd2. Especially in this weather

    Don't procrastinate - vaccinate!

The British Rabbit Council have recently made and statement regarding RHD2:

As feared the virus has become much more active as summer has progressed. There are now outbreaks and fanciers losing stock in the north, south east and in Wales and the West Country. Some fanciers are seeing their entire stock wiped out. Please ensure that your stock are vaccinated, it is the only way to protect them.

Indeed. I'm so sad for the owners in question, but relieved (for myself) I've been asking for the vaccinations routinely now anyhow.
