Little Lola (very image heavy)

I'm afraid I have some devastating news...

Over the last few weeks, Lola lost the use of her back legs. Her tumour had grown much bigger, and she seemed to have difficultly breathing. She was also incontinent She never lost interest in food, and perked right up to eat, but then spent a lot of the last few days looking sad, even though she had happy moments. Im not sure if she was in pain, but I think she probably was.

I am completely devastated to say that yesterday I had to let go of my childhood (and adulthood) best friend. It was the most difficult thing I have ever done, and I wouldn't wish that decision on anyone. The doubts I keep feeling are overwhelming, but I keep being reminded it was the best for Lola.

There are no words for the pain and emptiness I am feeling. There will forever be a huge void in my life that cannot be filled. Hop free and sleep tight little squish, Mummy loves you so much. We will see each other again xxxxxxxx

P.s. please see update in health for a few questions I have about her, and also my other bunny Stanley who isn't doing too well at the moment.

I am so sorry to hear that your friend has gone.
Having just had to make that painful decision for my cat of 16 years this week, I can say with certainty that it is the worst decision for us, although it may be the best for them. Such is the very sad price of the choice we make to take these precious ones into our lives and hearts. Still, there is no way I'd ever not have had my furry friends in my life.
