Odin Oakenshield

Wise Old Thumper
Still can't believe I'm writing this already.

Odie came home in January 2014 so he was about two but I'd so hoped he'd get longer with me.

He was the laziest hamster I've ever had. He had a 4ft cage but I'm pretty sure he'd have been happiest if he had a bed with a water bottle and food bowl in there with him. He liked his odd wander around my bed but mainly because he got treats afterwards. He was such a nervous lad but never got upset at me handling him or wandering around with him.

He loved his food

And his bed

He'd been looking a bit old lately, but not enough to be worried. Then on Thursday, I noticed his abdomen looked a bit swollen. By the night it had got worse. Friday morning I had to say goodbye :(

Such tiny creatures but still absolutely breaks my heart to lose him.

Little sweetheart  I'm so sorry that you have lost him.

Goodnight Odin, sleep well little one xx

Aww Steph he was an adorable little fella wasn't he? I'm so sorry for your loss

Scurry free little Odin Oakenshield x

Oh Steph, I am so very sorry that he has gone. What a precious wee lad he was. :(
(((((((((((((Huge hugs)))))))))))))))) No matter the size of the animal companion, the hole they leave in our lives is huge.

Sleep well, Odin Oakenshield xxxxxxx
