The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Head humping

B&B Buns

Alpha Buck
Evening all,

I wondered whether anyone else's buns hump their partners head? Buster always humps Bunny's back, but just recently she has started humping his head. This follows on from my incessant eye grooming post. They've been together since last August, but the first time I saw her do it was in April, just after they came back from boarding. She had a bald patch where he had pulled a lot of her fur and head humping seems to be her revenge. I always try to stop her when she does it and I am here, but I figure it must go on when I am out during the day and I wonder what happens then.

Today for example, they were both out in the run happy enough. Then she was on him, I went to get her off, he went for her and then ended up pulling a huge chunk of her fur out. She had her third eyelid showing (not sure if that is right term) and looked properly scared.

I know it's bad for boys to hump girls heads as they can inflict nasty injuries to his bits, but is the same true the other way around? I actually took Buster to the out of hours vet last night for tummy pressing/not eating (he's fine now) and should have mentioned it to him but I clean forgot.

Any similar experience or advice out there would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

My two girls (mother and daughter  ) used to do this a lot. No harm was ever done thankfully.
