  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Mysterious vague symptoms.

She missed it, to be fair, I tend to podcast it and listen on the train or in the car. I'm two omnibuses behind right now. I have also discovered Home Front which is also fab.

You could always ask them to play the radio for her when she is an inpatient, I'm sure they won't think that is in any way a strange request.

So good to see her eating again, I know it takes a lot to stop her eating but it sounds like quite a bit of a procedure she went through.

Indeed, it's the longest she's ever been in. It's usually just an overnight with her dental stuff and she bounces right back. Her tongue would be very sore, but also she's probably quite old now. Her guestimate based on the RSPCA adoption info is 6 to 7 bit we don't really know and she is starting to look old and has lost all her muscle, she is very boney. She's clearly not letting this latest issue stop her though. She's bouncing about and been troughing nuggets and forage most of this evening. I think I'll sleep better tonight!
