Young Bun
Sorry - should have posted in here first before bombarding the forum with questions!
I've had bunnies before, but not for over a decade, so just trying to get back into the swing of things.
I was originally intending to take on a pair that someone else had gotten board with, but as I wanted both my children to be very involved in the care and upkeep, I decided to go young and follow the 'proper' course of socialising and neutering in an attempt to prevent ending up with a pair of grouchy, difficult to handle bunnies.
Daisy (beigey-thorne coloured one) was being advertised as a 10 week old mini lop, and her sister Maisy (greyish coloured) was offered as a BOGOF deal - the breeder saying she was of no use to her because her ears hadn't dropped correctly. That didn't matter in the slightest to me - they are both totally gorgeous! This was two weeks ago, and although Maisy was noticeably smaller, she is now catching up in size (I think she may be the runt of the litter - but I could be wrong).
I also have 2 Jack Russell Terriers at home, pond fish and a small indoor tank. We're due to get some ex-farm hens in the next few weeks too.
Thoroughly enjoying having Daisy & Maisy in our lives. The children are brilliant with them (with plenty of supervision I should add). Have a nice big outdoor enclosure for them (the bunnies that is - not the children!), but intending to extend very soon so that we can all sit in there together at the same time instead of taking it in turns
Sorry - was going to add photos but think maybe I have to have posted more before I get the photos thingy attached to profile!
