Recommended padlocks?

Hi everyone, we've been through 3 padlocks now in less than a year, on the buns shed, because they've all been

The first one "failed" and we had to buy bolt cutters to cut it off :shock: Luckily the buns weren't moved in at this point. The company replaced it free of charge but the second one went the same way.

Our new one is "weather proof" yet is somehow going rusty inside, and the key is getting increasingly hard to put in.

Both cost £15+ each! So wise people of RU, could you please recommend me padlocks that are effective and sturdy? What do you use on your shed?

Ours are just standard yale or something that we got at b and q. They have withstood about 5 winters and summers now with the minimum of attention. We have 6 and none have caused oroblems. Maybe youhave just been unlucky

I use Masterlock Brass and Steel padlocks. You have to keep spraying them with WD40 to protect them from the rain and rust, but they last longer than most other padlocks I've found. At least 1 year. The more you spray them the longer they will last. I buy them in packs of 4 with the same keys. I go for 40mm
