I 'rescued' a bunny earlier this year from quite horrible conditions. I knew I wouldn't be able to keep him as I have my own so I advertised him and he found a home within weeks, sadly the home hasn't worked out and he came back to me today.

Physical Description - Grey mini lop. Small boy, about 1.3kg. He is super fluffy so looks bigger than he is!
Temperament - Laid back and friendly. Basil loves nothing more than having cuddles with someone, he will lick you and everything around you to show how happy he is
For a blind bunny he gets around just fine. He's a little bun with a huge personality.
Age - About 6 years old.
Sex - Male.
Neuter Status - Neutered.
Vaccination Status - Vaccinated.
Health - Basil is blind in both eyes, his old owners said he had cataracts when he was 6 months old. He also had EC when he was younger so has a slight head tilt. He was seen by a vet recently who said he has very small spurs on his teeth but they should be ok if he continues to nom his hay like a good boy.
Type of home wanted - Either a home where he can be bonded with a wifey bun or as a single housebun as long as he gets lots and lots of time with people because he loves attention.
Either a permanent sanctuary/rescue space or a forever home.
Location - We are near Cambridge.
Reason for rehoming - I took him in because he was living in awful conditions and had been left to almost waste away and had kids running after him and picking him up by his fur.
He was rehomed but sadly it didn't work out and he was returned to me.
I can't keep him because I have bunnies of my own.

I offered Basil a forever home on Claire's thread, but she had already had some interest and people were going to see him. Did they not work out? If not my offer still stands, and I'm not far from Cambridge either. My little Violet is blind and so I no what his special needs will be.

I hope he is available still because I really fell in love with him.

I've got 4 'special needs' house bunnies and amazing husband and wife rabbit specialist vets. I've seen about his spurs, and Simon (the vet) specialises in dental work. I've never had a dental bun, but if he came to me he would see Simon pretty much straight away for him to have a good look at him, and he will advise me as to how often he needs to be seen to monitor his teeth.

I've also got an awful lot of spare time to cuddle Basil :) :)

Sadly nothing has worked out so far for Basil.
He is still looking for a special home.
I've added some pics :)

Basil has head tilt so he tilts to the right. Chilling in his tent :)

Basil enjoying some Basil (it's his favourite)

It's exhausting being this cute!

Basil *loves* coming for cuddles on the sofa. I put his carrier filled with blankets on the end because he will wander off and have a snooze.

At the request of the OP I have now closed this as Basil has been offered a trial home - fingers crossed Basil hope it works out for you
