Marigolds

Karen's

Mama Doe
Hi,
Does anyone know if French marigolds and African marigolds are ok for bunnies? I read pot marigolds were safe but I couldn't find them in the garden centre, only French and African.
Not sure if I'm being a bit dim, is a pot marigold a different variety? Or does pot marigold just mean you can grow it in a pot?

It is confusing, but although they are both commonly called marigold they are completely different plants. Pot marigolds actual name is Calendula - you'll be able to buy seed easily and they are easy to grow. I'm not sure if you'll be able to buy plants - if so they'll be in the bedding/annual plant sections as surviving winter is a bit hit and miss (they self seed and regrow though).

French marigolds actual name it Tagetes and they aren't okay to feed.
