Inspector Morse~ 2nd February 2014. A Tribute to a Legend

I'm trying so hard to keep going, but it is proving to be a billion times harder than I could ever have imagined

He was my world and just being able to see him asleep up on his chair was enough to get me through all the 'dark thoughts' my mental illness causes. Now his chair is a memorial and I have to try to hold on to his 'spiritual' presence. But because of how my mind is at the moment it is like drowning and trying to grab hold of a life line that keeps slipping out of reach.

I am sorry, I will try to be more self reliant and just deal with things in a more dignified and silent way

Hello,

Oh my goodness those pictures of Morse are stunning. He looked such a character! It looks like he was so very well looked after and had an amazing life with you. What a lucky chap he was.

Don't ever say sorry for sharing your thoughts, please, it's very important to do that (I know I do! :) And thank you, looking at his pictures has brightened up my day to think how adored he was by you and so many others. xxx

If sharing your thoughts here is helping even a tiny tiny touch there's no reason why you shouldn't do it. I'm sorry your going through such a difficult time at the minute.

I can't say I understand properly as I've sadly never met you but at the very least I can understand what its like to lose a much loved friend. I still think about Cassy my border collie all the time. Its been so many years and its not faded.

Had to try really hard not to cry at my desk there. I'm not much help at all. I hope you are at least getting through ok, thinking of you xxx

All the love that Morse has for you and all that made him such a special friend will always be with you, Jane. He is here right now, hoping that his presence will help you. I am certain.
((((((((((Massive hugs)))))))))))))) xxxxxxx

The picture of Morse that you sent me is on my bedside cabinet, and every morning he greets me and every night he watches over me whilst I sleep.

Morse is there by you in his spirit. xxxxxx
