Octavia is an agouti lionhead doe. She came to HH in April 2008 when she was about three weeks old. She and her mother and nine litter mates were crammed into a small cage in a shed
HH took approx 60 rabbits from that person over two years. The last time they saw her they were able to take all the females she had to prevent any more accidental litters.
Octavia is shy, but not as shy as her sisters who were older when they were rescued. A few of her litter mates are so friendly that they were re-homed as house rabbits, which shows what a difference those first few months make. Ill treatment can scar an animal for life. She has had recurrent bouts of snuffles which is why she was not re-homed like the others. She lives with Maverick in one of the enclosures (yesterdays Rabbit if the Day).
Like her partner she is still seeking sponsorship - can you help from just a few pounds a month?
