celery leaves

Yes, celery leaves are fine - it is just the actual celery you have to cut into very fine strips.
 
Yeah she always has it cut into little cubes, didn't realise the leaves fell on the floor while I was cutting it up though! I pull as much of the string off as I can before I cut it up too :thumb:

I think you cut it up finely to guard against choking on a stringy bit.
It could be that your rabbits simply don't like it anyway.
 
yes the leaves are fine and much loved by buns, celery is best cut up small as said, because if fed large the stringy bits can actually sometimes get trapped i between their teeth like their front incisors :wave:
 
Every time when I chop celery (for our dish) they get very excited :lol: probably know that I will give them the leaves and some bits... can't let them have too much otherwise they will have soft poops the next morning :lol:
