Awwwh Becky its lovely to see you on here! I'm Becky (from RSPCA Walsall who you spoke to on the phone)
Jeremy and Jim are currently fed a diet of 80% hay, and then we feed Burgess Excel Pellets -
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/burgess-excel-tasty-nuggets-adult-rabbit-food-2kg-4kg-and-10kg-15703.
They are used to drinking from a water bottle.
We don't reccommend using wood shavings or sawdust, the fosterer who has the boys, currently uses a thick layer of newspaper on the base of the cage, and then a thick layer of hay. Straw may be useful this time of year for the bedding area of the hutch.
You could go really over board with buying things, but for the basics i would start with lots of hay, a bag of straw (for bedding), Burgess excel pellets, start collecting newspapers (for the base of the hutch), a water bottle, food bowl, some toys (willow balls always go down a treat with bunnies, and they will often throw around the jingle type, plastic balls).
Feel free to PM me on here if you need any advice, or you can get me via email at
