free standing hay mangers

belgian2

Alpha Buck
can anyone recommend anything suitable as a free standing (ie middle of floor) hay manger big enough for 3 rabbits that eat a lot?
I am trying to cut down waste of hay being peed on> unfortunatly am short on walls to bolt a manger to so need free standing. I've seen the cubes but they are rather small for 3 buns.
I was thinking maybe a wine rack stuffed with hay? has anyone come up with anything better?
thank you

Magazine racks work very well, but I put lids on most of them to prevent bunnies from climbing in and pooing. CD racks also do a good job. photo of the CD rack in this album https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.225968430780225.55288.224203434290058&type=3

The magzine racks I mean are normally made of beech and are untreated and have dowels for the sides. They don't have legs but sit flat on the floor. Bunnies can sit all the way around it. I think they probably come from IKEA. This is the kind of thing I mean. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHUNKY-PINE-MAGAZINE-RACK-/330803392798?pt=UK_Home_Garden_LivingRoom_MagazineRacks_SR&hash=item4d056b311e

Ninny where did you get that? I'm looking for ideas to keep my hay clean too, standard hay racks that fit into the cage were rubbish.

I was considering this:

I'm having issue that they keep peeing on their hay, and I don't know how long they're going without eating it day and night! It's quite a worry (not to mention that ings hay is far too special to waste as toilet hay!)

I have two of those hay racks. I don't care for them at all! They just get pushed over and are really messy.

Thanks for that, I did consider whether they'd get kncked over... I've ordered a clip on one to at least get it off the ground for now (ive even given them a litter tray to put their hay in cos the pee was getting so bad).... grrrrrr bunnies eh - I give em fresh hay and when I get home from work they look at it as if to say i can't eat THAT and i wish i could make them understand that they're the ones who peed in it, not me! ~

Sorry my last comment sounded a bit short, I was at work on my phone. I sent a message to them on Facebook to order it and they sent me a paypal invoice. Have a look at their page as they do other ones too. Their actual page is here https://www.facebook.com/Manorpethousing
Hope that helps :)

The facebook page looks fab. I really like the look of the budget hay station; is it possible to order without being on Facebook?
