Exporting dried herbs from UK to North America?

Has anyone here had any experience with sending herbs and dried plant forage to either the US or Canada and if so were there any customs snafus?

I'd like to order some items for myself and a friend in Canada from Galen's Garden but the proprietor told me to check the regulations first. Pretty much all I can find on prohibitions seems to have to do with citrus, seeds or dirt on the plants that can contain nematodes. Apparently some of these organisms can survive drying. :shock:

Generally we're looking for forage to improve digestion/dysbiosis. Can anyone please help? Thank you.

I think you would have to check what you're sending is allowed, get it sent to you and then send it on and give prior notice (as a gift shipment) to stop it getting held up in customs.
