I'm so sorry you ran out in front of my car.

I'm so sorry that I had no where to move and no way to save you.

I'm so sorry that I couldn't swerve to avoid you, but positioned my wheels either side and hoped that you would freeze with fear and not run.

I'm so sorry that you ran into my wheels.

I went back to check you.

You had clearly died pretty instantly.

I'm very glad you didn't suffer.

I moved you to the side of the road so you wouldn't keep getting run over and over.

I'm so sorry. I hope it was quick and didn't hurt.

Oh hunny :( I've had so many near misses, sometimes it seems no matter how many times you swerve they are still in front of you. I'm so sorry, it's not your fault.
