Rabbit needing a home
Hi everyone, I have a friend who has been bugging me for ages to take his rabbit Betty. He is fairly responsible and I know he does his best to look after her she does get access to the garden and gets locked away at night/ fed/cleaned out etc but he got her for the kids who now just ignore her and he is left looking after her. He says he feels sorry for her as she doesn't get any attention and is alone all the time.
She has misaligned teeth and needs them cut every 3 months as well but he does have this done.
She is about 4 and he asked me how long they live...I told him that alot of unspayed females die of cancer so it would be best to get her neutered but he just said he wasn't paying for that and that she would be dead soon then. He isn't a bad person he does do his best and did get her teeth sorted but I think he just can't be bothered with her. I told him the best thing he could do was to get her neutered and get her a buddy and leave them to play in the garden in the day and lock away at night but he won't do this.
Anyway is there a rescue out there that is willing to take her? Or has anyone got any other ideas about how to encourage him to make her life better. As I say I don't think she is badly looked after she is more likely just lonely. he isn't the sort of person to abandon her or anything.
