Our Dandy

Yesterday we lost one of the best friends we ever had.* We first saw little Dandelion ( he was called Marko then) at the RSPCA centre in Martlesham, in late 2010.* He looked a funny little bun with long hair and a rather bedraggled appearance, with bits of hay stuck to his face.* His badly scarred ears told their own story of bullying, and he had obviously had a rough start to his little life. *He had been resident at the centre for a long time, as they had not been able to find a suitable home for him. We had looked at a lot of Bunns that day, and we went off to lunch to try and make that most difficult of decisions, which Bunnies to give a home to. But before we had arrived at the Kentucky, our usual lunch stop,* we had decided.* We had as a principle to take bunnies that nobody else wanted, so Dandy and his bestest friend Bluebell were the choice.* As we have invariably found, the rather odd looking bunnies always seemed to have a wonderful personality and Dandy was no exception.* In fact he was quite the nicest little animal it has been our privilege to know, a more gentle and kind little soul one could not imagine.* It was a treat to see him grazing in his run, with the sun on his face, with his beloved wifey bunn Bluebell ever at his side.* They were inseparable, Bluebell had stayed with Dandy through thick and thin.

Well, yesterday we suddenly lost out little friend, and a bright light in our life went out.* We will miss you forever my little angel,* wait for us in heaven and we will see you again one day, and we can hold you close and tell you how we have always loved you and *missed you so terribly.* Until then, keep safe my little boy,* and wait for us.

Bluebell sends her love, bye bye my little sweetie. We'll see you in the moonbeams.
