Pepe, my sweet darling, I love and miss you with every beat of my broken heart.


My sweet, darling, Pepe.

You stayed with me through out the times when all was dark
To lose so many in such a short time, it broke my heart
You knew my pain and changed your way, greeting me every day
Cuddles you gave from your heart, helping me from breaking apart
Selfless you were, full of love, my darling, Pepe, you rose above.
You were ill for so long, test after test, you still stayed strong.
You fought so hard with every step and even baffled the expert vet.
You grew so weak, you couldn't eat. Tested again and this time, complete.
You were dying and nothing I could do, apart from medication to see you through
You picked up so bright the last couple of nights, I thought you were winning your fight.
Today your kidneys needed rest, only to prove that God only takes the best.
