Rabbit Savvy Vets throughout the UK- Please List

He is! He's also very good with people. Never makes you feel like you're taking time out of his day when you have an appointment or when he asks you to call him. I find some vets are good with animals but don't have many people skills (like the boss guy at the vet in our village who talked to me like I was stupid and worthless), Jason is like the rabbit whisperer and he's really good at explaining things, answering questions, and making pet owners feel at ease. Always seems interested in the animal as an individual as well.

I can't recommend him enough!

Mark is very much like this too. He's never too busy to explain everything to you. :)

Which is great cos I need of lot of explaining

In Bristol I would very much also recommend:

http://cliftonvet-bristol.co.uk/

James and Clara are very committed. James who owns the surgery gave me a discount on my 4 buns vacs without me asking for it, cos I have four buns.
I paid 16.20 for the vacs (per vac) and 60 for the neutering (per bunny) of my female buns.
They love all animals and are very committed.
I recommend them 100%.

Jason Burgess here:
www.woodvet.co.uk

He divides his time between the two surgeries but I believe he is mostly based at Quedgeley :)

He's very bunny savvy and deals with a variety of "exotic" pets too ranging from small furries to reptiles, birds, etc.

With regard to vaccs, he uses Lapinject as standard for VHD :)

Jason has been our rabbit vet for about 15years and have no hesitation in recommending him.

In South West London.

Great for exotics such as chinchillas, birds, lizards and snakes. Also bunnies but very expensive. A consultation is about £56.00.

I wouldn't leave Twickenham vets for my bunnies anyway. (In Jack-Jane's post).

Erdington/Sutton Coldfield Birmingham.

Offers 24 emergency care.
Neuters, dentals. Has coped with allergies, stasis, cancer, flystrike *shudders* but emergency care saved the rabbit, myxi, severe internal injuries- saved rabbit and offers critical care. Does call in a very bun savvy vet to deal with the real out of the ordinary cases like Pumpkins absent tear ducts. Will refer to very specialised vets when dealing with something very rare. Bun savvy nurses.
Special offer on life time of vaccines.
Accepts pet insurance.
Stuart has been bitten, clawed and peed on yet he continues to offer great care to the g.pigs and buns we have had for over 15 years. :D

Oh yay!! Hellooooo catxx & Loosy  maybe I've been sat in the waiting room same time as you and never known!!

hehe! next time I'm in there and there's someone else with a rabbit I'll have to ask if they're on RU! I've only ever seen one other rabbit in there while I've been in. They were really lovely last time and I got a cup of tea as Emily had got stuck in a traffic jam on the M25 and was running late

Hehe, I'll have to study the buns in the waiting room next time I'm there to see if I recognise them.
Have you guys seen Rachel before? I have been to her with my cats and for vaccs and she seems good as well. :)

so far the vets in Tranent seem to know bunnies and from reading the Staff Biographies its all good too :D, haven't gotten a bad feeling when i've been there but i haven't had a major stasis episode yet to see if i will go back (if that makes sense).

Lucia Fasungova as far as I know went back to Manchester to open her own practice, she is an amazing bunny vet and I wish I could kidnap her to where I live

Simon and Sheena and all the nurses at Northdown Vets in Milford, Surrey, are great.

Simon just speyed my two foster buns, and the care throughout was top notch by him and the nurses.

Sheena was amazing during Bunny's recent stasis episode. She even opened up the surgery on a Sunday especially so she could check him and re-medicate

The willows vet winsford
http://www.willowsvetgroup.co.uk/

Excellent care for 2 neuters.
Ordered in Lapinject at my request

The hartford branch is also absolutely fantastic and would recommend to anyone. Even though it's further for me, I am actually considering switching

clarendon vets my previous vets was under the willows group..... they didnt know what Encephalitozoon cuniculi / E cuniculi / EC was....... I phoned and said that I think its that or inner ear infection. the vet who spoke to me over the phone wasnt my usual vet but my vet the only one who seems to know anythng about rabbits its only in twice a week which dsnt bode well anyway only one vet who knows about rabbits? the guy who spoke to me knew nothing and I felt terrified....

so I changed to ashley vets had to pay a £50 transfer fee but god damn
they were going to leave yuki how she was yesterday until 4pm today....

so.... I do not trust the willows group anymore
