well Hope is still here .. I have to pick up some steroids from the vet this morning as these are what realy helped last time...even though risky with buns .
she is on panacur , baytril ..will be on steroids .
cant start the steroids until this evening as she had metacam last night and it has to go out of her system first .
my poor poor girl .. I NEED her to get better ... Im not ready to say goodbye ..not yet ..and Im sure she isnt ready to go ..
She has a nibbled a few dandylions this morning but nothing else . :?
She is still very wobbly .. and her head is pulling around inspasms to the left ..not tilting like headtilt..more as if her body is curling round . Its barely noticable when shes relaxed but when she tries to sit up or move around its much worse .
:?
Could it be a middle ear infection ?
If so would steroids be a bit too risky and maybe a more 'heavy duty' abx might be better :? Plus gut motility meds in the acute phase :?
I am probably completely wrong
Sending loads more vibes for her xx
Hows Hope
Blackberry has his head pull round and eye flicker sometimes (and other times full fits) in his case it is remnant brain damage from the EC.
He has also developed the sluggish caecum that in horses is sick grass (sorry cannot recall rabbit name) and the vet thinks there might be a link between all three.
Blackberry has those as well - we have just started giving him Diazapan when he has a string of seizures as it brings him out of them and sort of stops the rut he gets into with having a whole string.
We also use half a tablet of Cisipride twice a day now to stop the gut slowing - have been doing this for 2 months and its working really really well for him.
We did use a lot of Panacur in the past but have really cut back on how often we give that now as were worried in case of link with stomach issues.
It takes Blackberry a few days to get back to normal after having seizures - and a few days the other end to get into the trough of them.
rest of the time he is a very happy bun!!!
