Colyflower
Alpha Buck
Peanut has had the odd occasion recently where she's had slightly wet/sticky poo. Not full diarrhea just a wet/sticky pile of normal poos (not ceacotrophs). This isn't all the time though, in fact recently her poos have been bigger than they normally are.
I started a thread not so long ago assuming it might have been some dried plantain that I had introduced to her and I wasn't sure if this had been the cause. No one replied, so I assume no one had had this problem before with plantain or my thread just got lost. I stopped the plantain and she's been fine but then this morning she ran out to her litter tray in the lounge and left this wet pile just in front of it. She seems ok though, she's eaten some pellets and some Timothy hay and she's now throwing a willow basket around the lounge, she's not hunched and doesn't seem to be in pain and has appeared brighter since pooing it out.
I want to try and eliminate any causes, the only other new thing I've introduced lately is some meadow hay, she's always had Timothy. I bought a sample of this meadow hay and both rabbits seemed to really, really like it, so I bought a big bag of it but since buying this big bag, neither rabbit has eaten much of it and Pea especially hasn't taken to it. Roo's poos are the same by the way, no change there.
Could this be anything to do with the hay or does anyone know any other reasons that could cause this? Pea & Roo are being bonded at the end of this month so I want to make sure that I know what the problem is. Also is there something that I can give Peanut to settle her tummy. I have fresh parsley and basil here, would any of these be good to give her?
