  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Damson at vet with stones UD Post 17 He's back with PICCIES

Damson would like to thank everyone for asking after him:

He is feeling a bit down today again, not as good as last night, but not as bad as before -

He has managed to eat some willow sticks with fresh growth on and some other bits and pieces but not as much as I would like. I am wondering whether we should have popped him back on a drip in the vets for a couple of hours rather than just the fluids at home.

We have an appt at 5.40 for an assessment of what happens over the Easter hols (hopefully they will set me up with more fluids to give at home etc), and also another x ray to see i fthe stone has moved at all.

Will send news later.

Thank you for asking:D

His stone has moved about 2cms further - so only another 3 cm or so to go and it will be in the bladder . . . see my other thread!

Arr the pics are lovely:) what a cutie! Well I hope last night was ok for him and he is nearly done with his ordeal. He sounds like a strong bunny! :D keep us updated
