  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Unusual Small Lump Under Tongue - Advise Needed

Well she's begun eating dry food again which I'm really happy about.. She's actually been really active and naughty the past couple of days which is a good sign I think :)

The lump thing is still there though not as inflamed and still more white than it was when I first saw it.. still looks like its sort of breaking up, like there's a crack in it.. which is making me think it could be scar tissue/ulcerated skin some sort of injury... I know she has chewed through a few electrical cords in the past... and recently she bumped her head on the coffee table jumping off the sofa  I'm still keeping an eye on it each day..

She isn't spayed as you might have guessed. I'm going to be looking into getting it done this summer. As she's older (5) im a bit scared though, and to be honest that's what has kept me from doing it sooner, silly as it sounds! I've suffered with anxiety quite badly in the past few years. I know it has to be done now because she's getting to a risky age for uterine cancer, I'm gonna make sure I get her tested and health checked thoroughly first though.
