  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Rabbit savvy vet required!

i use carmel's vet in wolverhampton - a bit far maybe but i can recommend them. i think a couple of forum members live stourbridge way so they may come along with more names:D

Thanks for that, I have heard they are supposed to be good and not too far from me. Do you use one particular vet there or are they generally all ok?

Sara and Mel

Melanie is the one we usually see. She's fab. We have jabs on Saturday and have been booked in with peter-he'll be good too, he owns the practise. I needed a good vet last year when Eric was very poorly as the vet I was using was better suited to cats and dogs. I rang the rwa and they told me about carmel's. Thank goodness they did or I doubt Eric would still be here.

I recommend Jo Day at Vets4Pets, Dudley. She vaccinates/treats Fat Fluffs buns for us and is lovely. If you want more details (I have a discount voucher I could pass on) then drop me a PM x

just finding my vacc cards out for saturday and i have a recommend a friend thing for carmel's too if you're interested?
