Hi,
I have two netherland dwarf bunnies one male and the other female- or so i thought. the female was sexed when we got her and the breeder said it looked like she would be unable to have babies. The vet checked her over and said she had a membrane covering a small part of her *lady bits* and that she possibly could be a pseudo hemaphrodite. We took her to the vets a month later for her shot and the vet noticed that she had grown what looked like testicles! the vet wanted to check her after we had the male neutered last week and now she has full male parts but the vet said she is definately not all male?!?! im waiting to hear back from the vets as they are getting intouch with a reproductive or exotic specialist to find out what they are going to do to her.
I am sooo worried that the operation will be risky if she is all messed up inside. the vet recommended just to open her up and see what she has rather than giving her a hormone test and scans because of the cost. Does anyone know annnnything about this or the procedure? ive seen on the internet that they can impregnate themselves but the babies dont survive?!?
im worries as if she does turn out to be more male i wont be able to bond her again with the other male we have!!!
help!!!
thank you x
