  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Young Bun
My baby has left this world. she passed away about an hour after i wrote my last post. i was laying with her and petting her when it happened. i have never had one of my babies die and i have never seen an animal die. it was so traumatizing but im glad it happened with me at home rather than at the vets. ive been laying in bed since saturday. i cant go in my living room(thats where my baby lived) and im trying to get the strength to get up and get out but im just so terribly sad. thank you all so much for your prayers and vibes and for thinking of us it really helps to know im not alone and you guys understand she wasnt just a "pet" to me.

I am so terribly sorry Michelle's story had to end this way. You did everything possible to offer her the very best of care.

Many of us have had this awful experience of losing our bunnies and fully understand how you feel at the moment. Take heart that at least here you can freely state how much Michelle meant to you and everyone will share the pain of the loss with you. To all of us they are never just pets or "only a rabbit", they are part of us and help make us what we are. We are the privileged ones who get to share the too short lives these endearing little creatures live.

Sweet dreams little Michelle.

I am so very sorry

I know there are no words that will make things any easier right now so I will just send you lots of hugs.

Michelle will remain within your heart forever

xx

I'm so, so sorry  Michelle had a wonderful life with you, another bunny angel in heaven
