    does it take for food to pass through the rabbits digestive system?

    Interesting question!

    I'm not sure on an exact answer, but when I give Milo veggies for the first time, his poos changed from very golden to dark brownish/black in less than 12 hours for sure. I'd be tempted to say it only takes a few hours to pass through.

    So I think this is why blockages and stasis are so dangerous for rabbits. It only takes a few hours for them to go downhill.

    i thought it was about 12 hours too...though it does go through twice.
