Can Rabbits eat Orange peel?

Fairy13

Wise Old Thumper
Sorry I know its naughty to cross post but I feel quite anxious for an answer and more peeps will see this here  sorry!

Our housebun Hazel nicked a bit of orange from my daughter yesterday (she was sat on the floor peeling it and he grabbed it!) He seems fine today but I just looked it up now and one website says yes:

and here says no to skin yes to flesh:

Can anyone tell me which is right?

Poor old Hazel seemed very partial to the peel thats what he was after but dont want to give him anymore til we know its safe.

Thanks all!!!

I use to have a house bunny that stole orange peel. She even use to get it out of the bin, didn't do her any harm :)

Thanks. What do you reckon to the links though? Might ask me vet about it next time I see them. :? Its just he loves it so much that I would treat him with it occasionalyy if so. Obviously not if not though.

It's not a usual thing to give but in small amounts I don't think it would be dire. I image the flesh is usually rules out because of the pips and the acidity and the skin maybe because of the essential oils & I imagine it isn't too easy to digest.
